THIS TIME, the party was for an office of osteopaths in the Winthrop area. Job treated the a few of the employees his physical therapy practice and they were so impressed with his work, they decided to have their office party in our home.
We served:
Caribbean Crabcakes
Shrimp Cocktail
Bacon-Wrapped Scallops
Chicken Satay
BBQ Babyrack Ribs
Homemade Pate Platter with Stuffed Dates and Relishes
Farm Fresh Deviled Eggs
Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing
Champignons with Toast
Butternut Squash Soup
Heaven's Cheesecake
Sweet Potato Pie
Sweet Potato Pecan Pie
Handmade Chocolates
They couldn't decide what they liked the best. "That (those) was (were) the best [insert one: deviled eggs, butternut squash soup, ribs, pate, cheesecake] I've ever eaten," flew out of many mouths.
It's humbling when people genuinely enjoy your work.
It was a roudy group. They told lots of jokes that had me rolling. And they played some very creative games, including opening gifts with gloves and betting on unknown gifts with monopoly money.
We'll gladly host them again.

A friendly comment: Although your guests may not have practiced self censorship, prudence suggests that you should exercise some in your report of the gathering. Except for the storm, some of them may have been sitting uncomfortably in church this morning. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
Food looks delicious.
grokker
grokker,
pray tell, what did I say? ;)
I simply couldn't imagine that anyone from around here reads this blog.
Craig, I think the person was talking about the food because it made my mouth water. That must be it because there was nothing about this post that made me think hmmm Craig needs to tone it down
