EVERYONE knows I love Barack. But I love his wife even more.
A Black woman born Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, a descendant of auction blocks and Daughter of the Ghetto, with chocolate-brown skin and wide hips is going to be the First Lady of the United States of America. That completely blows my mind.
Sojourner “Ain’t I A Woman?” Truth is dancing.

I get the most satisfaction out of the entire victory knowing that a black family, black man, black woman, and black children will be held up as a model for all to see and emulate. I am willing to bet that it will be a source of pride that will increase test scores, college attendance, and ambition in the black community in a way that many programs have been unable to. And depending upon what Obama's social and economic policies turn out to be, could also have a positive effect even on crime and teen age pregnancy.
ReplyDeletei love Michelle too. so smart, so beautiful, such lovely daughters... Obama's achievement is amazing, but without Michelle he might not be quite as interesting and well-rounded. she seems such an integral part of who he is and i really like that.
ReplyDeleteyou know I love her. You know I do. I can't, even though I've done posts, really and truly express what it means to me to see Michelle Obama. Oh, I can't talk about it. it's too jumbled.
ReplyDeleteNot only is she gorgeous, she's smart! and kind! My husband is in love with her and I am too.
